Canadian Club Chronicles 41 Year Old Whisky, a superbly-aged ultra-premium expression launched as a tribute to the brand’s birthplace of birthplace in Windsor, Canada. Crafted from a proprietary mash bill, the whiskey was barreled in 1977 in Canadian oak and tapped in 2018 as their second release in a series of ultra-aged Canadian whiskeys. Boasting an incredible depth and complexity, this expression is a definite keeper that is best reserved for the finest of life’s moments.
Canadian Club Chronicles 41 Year Old Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Nose with spice and a faint vanilla sweetness.
Palate: Silky smooth and exceptionally balanced palate of dark plum, more vanilla and caramel, oak, and a subtle rye spiciness.
Finish: Warm and satisfying finish of lingering caramel and peppery spice.
Distillery Information
The Canadian Club Canadian whisky brand, owned by spirits giant Beam-Suntory, has been producing whisky in Canada for almost 160 years, making it something of a historical icon there. One imagines there is a lot of older whisky stock sitting around in their warehouses, much like one might see at older Scottish distilleries. Those there are now tapping some of the oldest they have available for bottling, unveiling a very limited edition 41 year old expression.
