Michter’s 10 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon from the Michter’s Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. A brilliant expression – well balanced notes of dried fruit, oak-y spice and vanilla with a subtle herbaceous hint along the way. Simply put, this is top quality bourbon.
Tasting Notes:
NOSE
Complex, with sweet spice and rich dried fruit. Then candied fruit and gutsy earthy notes appear.
PALATE
Superbly balanced – a big whack of rich dried fruit comes first, followed by sweet spice from the oak, all underpinned by an earthy, peppery dryness.
FINISH
Rich, powerful and complex, with a spicy kick. Impressive stuff.
