This is a twenty-three-year-old entrant into Craigellachie’s ‘Exceptional Cask’ series, reserved for those scotch whiskies which are made in very small batches, and limited in quantity.  In this case, it was distilled in 1995, and just 5,400 bottles came from the cask.

Matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, this single malt is bottled at 57.5% and has pineapple-studded notes with cloves, dusted with cinnamon and barbeque.

The Exceptional Cask Series consists of exceedingly rare single cask and double cask bottlings, each of which was hand-selected by esteemed Malt Master Stephanie Macleod for its remarkable qualities. Once gone, these bottlings will not be replenished, providing consumers with a once-in-a-lifetime sipping experience. Featuring some of the finest and most delectable single malt expressions from Craigellachie, the Exceptional Cask Series is the product of meticulous assessment and flavor augmentation developed by Macleod.
